La Cucina opened in 2007 when my parents — Antonio and Rosa, both from a tiny village outside Naples — finally answered the call to bring real southern Italian food to Miami. No fusion. No twists. Just food the way my nonna taught us.
Eighteen years later, we still make our pasta by hand every morning, our mozzarella every afternoon, and our sauce from San Marzano tomatoes that we import directly from the same family farm in Campania. The menu changes with the seasons. The hospitality never does.
